Behind the Seams – A Night of Indulgence and Ballet Magic. Presented by Queensland Ballet x Layla x Bloch
Step beyond the stage and into the rarely seen world of ballet costuming for a one-night-only experience of fashion, craftsmanship and dining on Monday 24 August 6pm – 9pm.The evening begins at Layla with a curated menu by renowned chef Shane Delia — canapés, a signature dish and dessert, paired with premium beverages.
Guests will then be guided in intimate groups into Queensland Ballet’s Costume Workshop — a space seldom open to the public — where the artistry lies in the seams. Encounter ethereal tutus, intricately embellished bodices, delicate tiaras and well-worn pointe shoes up close, and hear directly from the makers behind them.
As the evening concludes, return to Layla for a final moment of indulgence — carrying a deeper understanding of the craft behind ballet’s beauty.
