Brisbane Fashion FESTIVAL kicks off this coming Monday, 23 August, set to bring a world-class celebration of local fashion design to the heart of The City.

In partnership with our Principal Partner and naming rights sponsor, Brisbane Economic Development Agency, Brisbane Fashion Festival 2021 is bringing a style-packed program featuring more than 50 designers presenting in excess of 440 covetable new-season looks. Fashion lovers in attendance are sure to discover new local favourites, and revel in the hottest trends and the most unique designs for Spring/Summer.

The 2021 Brisbane Fashion Festival takes to King George Square in the heart of Brisbane City from Monday 23 – Wednesday 25 August and is set to welcome 1,500 fashion fans across the three days of the event, plus many more via the runway Live Streams.

Events include Treasury Brisbane Fashion Show on Monday evening, presenting the biggest names and cult favourites in Australian fashion; Next Gen Group Show on Tuesday, which will showcase the newest, brightest, and next big names in Queensland and Australian design; and on Wednesday evening a line-up of Queensland’s most-loved designers will light up the runway in Designer Group Show.

As well as the excitement of new-season fashion and the Festival’s largest-ever outdoor runway in the iconic King George Square, attendees throughout the week are invited to enjoy pre- and post-show bubbles and designer Festival Cocktails in the pop-up EPICURE Fashion Bar in King George Square; plus pre-show hospitality for Gold and Platinum Pass holders in the VIP Runway Lounge in City Hall.

Tickets to Brisbane Fashion Festival this year sold out in record time, with fashion fans snapping up each and every ticket in under three days, indicating a strong desire to celebrate the joy of fashion and support local businesses amid the effects of the pandemic.

Those who missed out on tickets, or who simply wish to re-live the runway, are encouraged to tune into the Brisbane Fashion Festival Live Streams, which will be available via BFFTV at, and treat audiences from Brisbane, Queensland, and around the country to a front-row glimpse of every single runway look.

The Brisbane Fashion Festival team is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, models, crew and volunteers, and is adopting all the necessary recommendations set down by the Queensland Government to ensure a COVID Safe environment for all.

Since the event’s inception in 2006, Brisbane Fashion FESTIVAL has remained dedicated to supporting local designers and driving fashion retail for Queensland. Organisers are excited to welcome fashion fans to this celebration of the best in Queensland and Australian fashion design, and all are encouraged to choose local for the new season: See it. Love it. Own it.
